Abstract
Celem niniejszego artykułu jest dokonanie naukowej recenzji monografii pt. European Politics. The Making of Democratic States, autorstwa W. C. Opello, Jr. oraz K. A. R. Opello. Analiza rozpoczyna się od zarysowania sylwetek oraz dorobku naukowego autorów dzieła. Szczegółowo opisany został celu oraz struktury pracy. Zbadane zostały także poszczególne elementy aparatu naukowego oraz źródeł wykorzystanych do przygotowania rozprawy. Autor recenzji ocenił także miejsce recenzowanej publikacji w refleksji nad przedmiotowym zagadnieniem, ewoluują państwa demokratycznego, jej znaczeniem oraz walory. Recenzujący podjął się także diagnozy znaczenia badań nad przedmiotem w perspektywie zmian paradygmatu funkcjonowania państwa w dynamicznym środowisku międzynarodowym XXI w. The purpose of the present article, is to review the monograph, titled European Politics. The Making of Democratic States, authored by W. C. Opello, Jr and K. A. R. Opello. The analysis starts with the presentation of scientific profiles of the authors. The aim and the structure of the monograph is described in detail. The elements of scientific apparatus and sources used were also examined. The author of the review article explored of the monograph’s main subject, the evolution of the democratic state, its significance and value. The reviewing article incudes the diagnosis of the relevance of the proposed studies in the period of deep transformation of the nation state’s functgioning paradigm in the dynamic international environment of 21st century.
