Prawo obce w praktyce polskich urzędów stanu cywilnego

Abstract
The basic task of Superintendant Registrar in cases with an international element is to ensure the correct form of the given legal action as well as to preserve the appropriate registrating procedure. In both cases Polish law is applicable – respectively as formal and procedural statute, according to the application rule legis loci actus and legis fori processualis. Superintendant Registrar has to watch over substantive correctnes of the speciffied legal action (e.g. acknowledgement of the child), furthermore he is obliged to provide proper determination of the data which is subject to disclosure in vital records. Binding legal circumstances convince that the position of the Superintendant Registrar when it comes to determination of the content and application of foreign law is more difficult than the position and possibilities of common or administrative court.
