Prayer in the English film discourse: intonation characteristics and specifics of perception

Abstract
The article deals with the investigation of intonation organization of oral prayer texts used in the modern English film discourse on perceptive level. Revealed distinctive intonation peculiarities of canonical and quasispontaneous prayer made it possible to identify the dynamic component of into- nation as a leading differentiating parameter and to state the informativity of temporal component of intonation in differentiation of the prayers under study.
