Data were analyzed using Pearson Product Moment Correlation with the use of Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) version 20.0. The result showed that there was a positive but low relationship between internal locus of control and academic and also there was a positive but low relationship between external locus of control and academic performance. Based on these findings, it was recommended that Counsellors should assist the students in developing internal locus of control in order to improve their academic performance and to minimize the level of failure in both terminal and public examination.
