Abstract
In this preface, philosophical and political problems related to the concept of “science", which is the main subject of the 9th issue of our journal, are briefly discussed and the importance of addressing the issues are underlined. Then, both the articles on the subject of the special issue, which are mainly on philosophical investigations of the concept of science and scientific processes and the other articles are briefly introduced.
