Preliminary Estimation Methods for the Definition of the Landing Gear
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2018, Vol 10, Issue 3
Abstract
The landing gear of an aircraft is an important part of the aircraft structure. The landing and the taking off are most critical parts of a flight mission. The main goal of this paper is to provide a methodology for designing and sizing the landing gear taking into account its main three functions: to ensure the taxiing during the take-off and to ensure both the dynamic contact with the ground during landing and the taxiing required until the aircraft loses speed. This paper continues our concerns about different aspects of the complex landing phenomena. The landing gear is the component that will likely cause many problems in the aircraft design. Its design combines the best in mechanical, structural and hydraulic design. The designed landing gear should be able to meet the specifications and requirements imposed for example by CS23.

Bezier-curve Navigation Guidance for Impact Time and Angle Control
This paper addresses a novel impact time and angle control guidance law using a Bézier curve. The 2nd order Bézier curve consists of one control point and two boundary points; initial point P0, middle point P1 and end po...
A 2D description of the single crystal thin plate growth from the melt by micro- pulling- down method. Part 2
This paper is the second part of a 2D description of a single crystal thin plate growth by micro-pulling–down (μ-PD) method. This part concerns the following aspects: temperature distribution and melt flow in the melt–cr...
Sensors of a Beechcraft C90 Aircraft for Extension of Data Acquisition System
In-flight data acquisition is a key point in the aircraft design process. For the control of a simulated prototype using the control surfaces, state variables such as acceleration, pitch rate for longitudinal motion, and...
The Aeronautical Monument from Michałowice, Poland
After World War I Romania was sized with contradictory feelings: on the one hand: a general euphoria, stimulating many ambitions, on the other hand, the fear that everything that had been obtained through the sacrifice o...
