Journal Title: Roczniki Bieszczadzkie - Year 2013, Vol 21, Issue 1

Abstract

Duszatyńskie Lakes are characterized by high diatom richness – 217 taxa from 52 genera were identified there, from which the most numerous were Achnathidium catenatum, A. minutissimum var. minutissimum, Fragilaria leptostauron var. leptostauron, F. pinnata var. pinnata and Geissleria declivis. The majority of species occurred within wide range of pH, trophy and saproby. Diatoms from Polish Red List of Algae constituted over 11%, among which 6 taxa were distinguished as endangered (category E): Diploneis parma, Neidium alpinum, Pinnularia nodosa, P. schoenfelderii, P. subrupestris as well as Sellaphora pseudopupula .
