Prevention of Gender-Based Violence in Higher Education

Abstract

Gender violence is a public health problem that affects Ecuadorian society at all levels, with the university educational environment being equally affected by this male chauvinist behavior.Where the female sector as the subject and object of aggression is the main victim of this action. That is why this study aims to establish an action plan for the prevention of gender violence from the perspective of higher education.In order to achieve this, a research methodology based on the positivist paradigm was developed, with a quantitative approach under a descriptive and feasible project study modality. The data collection technique was the data file and the content card was used as an instrument. The data analysis technique was content analysis.Among the conclusions, the importance of empowering women about their rights and the way to avoid gender violence within the university campus and in the community in general was established. Motivated by the fact that women do not assert the rights they have to achieve a life free of violence
