The National Eclampsia Registry (FOGSI – ICOG initiative) reports a prevalence of eclampsia at 1.9% among the registry patients.2 The numbers of cases of eclampsia were found to be greater than severe preeclampsia points out to the fact that opportunities were lost in the prevention of eclampsia.
