Primary hyperaldosteronism: diagnosis and treatment
Journal Title: Міжнародний ендокринологічний журнал - Year 2017, Vol 13, Issue 8
Abstract
The aspects of primary hyperaldosteronism that have an important social and medical value are examined in this lecture. It is underlined that in some patients with timely diagnosis and choice of optimal therapeutic approach, a complete recovery is possible. In spite of improvement of laboratory and instrumental research methods, drug and surgical treatment, the problem of diagnosis and therapy of primary hyperaldosteronism is still of high relevance. The success of treatment and prognosis in these patients is directly dependent on the alertness of therapists, endocrinologists and cardiologists regarding symptomatic arterial hypertension, from the knowledge of the clinical picture, the tactics of the survey and the approaches to therapy.
