“Privileged Knowledge” as a Way of Religious Exploitation: Kesf, Inspiration and Dream -A Philosophical Analyses

Abstract
It is accepted that Islamic thought has three basic sources of knowledge. These are revelation, reason and sensory knowledge. Revelation is only a kind of knowledge that specific to the prophet as a human being in the narrow sense of the word, and its source is God. However, if prophets, as a human being, have such a knowledge it is possible that other people may be able to obtain similar knowledge from the same source. Although the name is known as Kesf, Inspiration and Dream, it is seen not much different from the knowledge of revelation. Naturally, those who have such knowledge have seen as “the privileged person” just as they were in the prophets. In this research, the theological aspects of “the privileged knowledge” which is one of the main religious discussion topics in Islamic thought, and tied topic to it “the privileged person” problems are discussed in terms of its reality, causes, bases, foundations and results. However, anthropological, psychological and phenomenological analyzes of the causes and consequences of this thought were also discussed.
