PROBLEM OF STABILITY OF VERTICAL CYLINDRICAL TANKS AT EXTERNAL PRESSURE

Abstract

Stability of steel tanks at external wind pressure and its buckling and post-buckling behavior is examined. For the reliable estimation of stability of steel tanks at external pressure the nonlinear analysis is required. Recommendations for taking into account wind type load in the stability estimate of steel tanks are given.
