Abstract
The issue of state is a permanent topic of several geopolitical analyses. This statement is related mainly to the trends of traditional geopolitics. it is represented in the definitions of geopolitics, which included a state among the main geopolitical categories. Also at present, in the period of continual globalization processes, the state maintains its important position in geopolitical analyses, developing also the internal state geopolitics, aimed at the analysis of actors acting within the state. Polish geopolitical thinking has successfully tied up to the pre-war traditions in last twenty years. its results provide wide possibilities to study geopolitical aspects of Polish state in various spatial scales.
