Abstract
Proved that global challenges and difficulties of reforming the national economy in today determine the need to find new opportunities for regional development. Іnvestigated the possibility of the achieve strategic development and transformation of Lviv in the Carpathian region perspective. Established the benefits and opportunities of strategic development Carpathians. Grounded problems and prospects of the Carpathians in the current context of the crisis state of the domestic economy. Proved that scenario-based approach in predicting the development of Carpathian opportunities exist to transform it into a highly modernized region, which are the prerequisites for the implementation of large-scale socio-economic reforms. The basic causes of low economic growth Carpathians, namely political and economic shock caused by the Russian aggression; large financial and investment risks in the forecast period; Presented Forecasted real GRP Lviv region for 2020 under two scenarios,% to the previous year. Analyzed the GDP growth in Ukraine compared to some countries by 2020. It is proved that the new industrial policy aimed at stimulating export the finished product manufacturing industry while curbing exports of raw materials.
