PROCESSING THE HYDROCARBON STRATA BY AMPLITUDE MODULATED WAVES

Abstract
Results on processing the hydrocarbon strata by amplitude modulated acoustic waves have been given in the article υ=υ0(1+msin Ωτ)sinωτ type, where m is an index of modulation; Ω, ω are low modulating and high carrying frequencies respectively have been conducted in the work. Established Burgers equation describing propagation of nonlinear waves in media with dissipation has been used while solving the problem. Estimation of nonlinearity and dissipation share in the medium is made taking into account the acoustic Reynolds’ number Re. Examples of calculations of velocities amplitudes in dissipative (sandstone, limestone) and nonlinear media (oil) have been given on modulating Ω and lateral 2ω+Ω. frequencies. The results of conducted studies obtained are possible to be used during the process of elaboration of perspective technologies of wave processing of the oil-and-gas bearing layers aimed at increasing the yield of producing wells.
