Profilaktyka po ekspozycji na HBV, HCV i HIV

Abstract
Ekspozycja na patogeny przenoszone przez krew, takie jak ludzki wirus niedoboru odporności (HIV) i wirusowe zapalenie wątroby typu B (HBV) i typu C (HCV) jest poważnym zagrożeniem dla pracowników opieki stomatologicznej. W gabine- tach, transmisja patogenów przenoszonych przez krew zachodzi głównie przez styczność skóry lub śluzówki tych pracowników z krwią lub płynami ustrojowymi (włączając w to ślinę) zakażonych pacjentów. Prospektywne badania pracowników służby zdrowia szacują, że średnia ryzyka zara- żenia HIV, HCV oraz HBV poprzez wystawienie skóry na krew pacjenta zarażonego bez wcześniej- szej profilaktyki PEP na HIV lub bez uprzedniego szczepienia na zapalenie wątroby typu B wynosi około 0,3% (HIV), 1,8% (HCV), 6-30% (HBV).
