PROFITABILITY OF EDIBLE POTATOES CULTIVATION

Abstract

The research material was potato tubers cv. ‘Tajfun’ derived from the three-year yield experiment carried out in the soil of the very good rye complex. The aim of the research was evaluation of profitability of five weed control methods in potato cultivation with the used herbicides and their mixtures. Mechanical and chemical treatment increased yield by 54.5% as compared to the control object. The gross margin ranged from 582.9 PLN for the control object mechanical weeding to 9401.6 PLN for object in which weeds controlled with mixture herbicides Command 480 EC + Afalon Dispersive 450 SC.<br/><br/>
