Journal Title: Journal of Air Force Medical University - Year 2023, Vol 44, Issue 11
Abstract
Sleep disorders refer to the conditions of abnormal sleep which include having difficulty falling asleep, being easy to wake up at night or struggling with excessive sleep during the daytime, resulting in impaired social function or physical diseases. The causes of sleep disorders are very complex, which can lead to primary sleep disorders caused by various psychosocial factors, as well as secondary disorders in other neurological or psychiatric diseases. This paper mainly introduces several common secondary sleep disorders, including those caused by or associated with neuropathic pain, mood disorders, and neurodevelopmental diseases, and elaborates on their pathogenesis, neural mechanism, and current treatments, so as to provide guidance for further research on the mechanism and treatment of secondary sleep disorders.
