PROJECT TECHNOLOGY-BASED TRAINING IN MODERN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

Search of opportunities which provide development of the personality capable to be not only a carrier and translator of knowledge, but also an active self-organized subject, has to be the priority direction of educational development. The strategy of modern education is to give an opportunity to each student to show their talents, abilities, creative potential. Competences are indicators of students’ readiness for life, active participation in public work, and further personal development. Competence approach is most successfully implemented in project technology which is a perspective component of the educational process and creates conditions for students’ creative self-development, self-realization, forms necessary life competencies. Self-acquisition of knowledge, its systematization, the ability to navigate in information space, to see a problem and to make decisions can be realized due to the project method. The essence of the concepts «pedagogical technology», «project technology», «project activity» are analyzed in the article. It is theoretically substantiated that the aims of the project activity are: to search for new complex knowledge by students and teachers; to master skills of using this knowledge during creating their intellectual product; to form key competences necessary for each member of a modern society, to train an active responsible citizen and creator; to move from traditional educational forms to cooperation, partnership of a teacher and a student. The project method is a pedagogical technology which displays realization of the person-focused approach in education. The result of implementing project technology in an educational institution is innovative-developing environment which includes: motivation of students’ educational activity; problem and creativity orientation; interactive organization of educational activity of the institution staff; students’ acquisition of knowledge and skills of both independent and collective search; formation of new experience and development of necessary psychological qualities; commitment to personal and collective success. The material analysed in the article allows drawing a conclusion on the need to implement technology projects in the work of educational institutions. Prospect of further researches is seen in search and realization of effective organizational and pedagogical conditions for project technology implementation in Ukraine’s educational institutions.
