Abstract

In the present work there are two solutions which are connected to improve performance and efficiency of car engine. First of them is a special program project, which allow to statically grow up power and torque generating by engine. This modification is the simplest because the is no need of interfere in original parts included in car. The code was made with help of IDA (Interactive Dissasembler) which is used to disassemble processor machine code and all what is needed to install new program into Engine Computer Unit is the diagnostic connector OBD2 (On-Board Diagnostics Level 2) which is mounted in almost every car after 2000 year. New program raises the performance of engine even 30% compared with original program installed by manufacturer. The second solution is a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) project which was designed is KiCad and allows user to change the characteristic of engine dynamic in real time. To achieve this point there is necessity of interference in ECU electronics. The serial Flash must be unsoldered and instead of it there will settle PCB adapter which is responsible for changes between two control programs. First of them is stock program installed by manufacturer. The second one will boost up the engine efficiency. It’s very attractive because one device makes possibility to have different software than the stock one. Project was tested on a several cars which was equipped in diesel engine and also gasoline engine. All of units gave a improvement by raised power, torque and the fuel consumption has decreased.
