PROPAGANDA AS A PART OF MODERN SOCIAL MYTH CREATION

Abstract
The article investigates propaganda as one of means of modern myth сreation. Creation of modern social myth is based on psychological expectations of a crowd. The modern myth сreation uses stories, mythological types and characters of primitive culture. Active creation of mythologems connected with the instability of society. Media having the most powerful influence on society deal with distribution of social myth in modern conditions. Dissemination of information shaped as social myths through the intricate net- work of mass media is a means of ideological, political, economic and cultural influence on the human mind and behavior.
