Przeplatka maturna Euphydryas maturna (Linnaeus, 1758) w Górach Kaczawskich i na Nizinie Śląskiej – nowe dane

Abstract
The scarce fritillary Euphydryas maturna (Linnaeus, 1758) in the Kaczawskie Mts and the Silesian Plain – new data The paper presents 22 new occurrences of the scarce fritillary Euphydryas maturna (Linnaeus, 1758) (Lepidoptera, Nymphalidae), a strictly protected butterfly species. 19 out of the 22 were recorded from the Kaczawskie Mts, while the remaining three come from the Silesian Plain (Budziszów, Krobielowice forests and village Bystrzyca Oławska). The new observations of eggs, caterpillar and caterpillar’s nests on the ash Fraxinus excelsior fill the gaps in the knowledge of the species’ distribution in south-western Poland (Malkiewicz et al. 2008). The present occurrence of the scarce fritillary in Lower Silesia is shown (Fig. 1) and briefly discussed.
