Abstract
The aim of the study is to rank the counties in respect of economic development. The classification was based on taxonomic indicators of economic development. In addition, the authors also described spatial differentiation of basic macroeconomic variables in counties. The differentiation has been based on such macroeconomics variables as: registered unemployment rate, wages, sold product industry per capita, investments per capita, gross value of fixed assets per capita. The period of analyses is covering years 2002–2014, and the final statistics taken from the Local Data Bank of the Central Statistical Office
