Abstract
Przewlekła choroba żylna (PCŻ) dotyka do 40% populacji. Jej przyczyną jest upośledzenie drożności żył, niewydolność zastawek lub oba te mechanizmy łącznie. Objawami klinicznymi są obrzęki, żylaki, przebarwienia skóry i owrzodzenia żylne. Główną metodą diagnostyczną jest ultrasonografia dopplerowska. Leczenie zachowawcze polega na unikaniu czynników ryzyka, terapii uciskowej i stosowaniu leków flebotropowych. Leczenie chirurgiczne obejmuje leczenie operacyjne
