Convenience sampling method was used for taking the sample. Data so collected was displayed in the form of various tables. Chi square test was used to test the significance. RESULTS 54% patients with substance use disorder were found to have co-morbid psychiatric diagnoses in comparison to 12% psychiatric morbidity in control group. In psychiatric co-morbidities, depressive disorder was the commonest diagnosis followed by anxiety disorder, personality disorder, bipolar disorder & schizophrenia spectrum disorders.
