Exemplary results and graphs of the results have been shown and described in this article. Conclusions. The research was aimed at the determination of psychological characteristics of the national team athletes with respect to their adaptive abilities. The results obtained show that athletes ha-ve greater difficulties with managing the difficult start-related situation than with physiological jet lag. The information received should allow the coaches, who obtained feedback from the research team, to achie-ve the optimum adaptation status of their athletes using a psychological approach. Also athletes them-selves have an opportunity to improve their level of necessary mental skills in order to deal with the adaptation and stressful situations morę effectively.
