Public Authorities in Management of Logistics Centers` Development Processes

Abstract
The development of logistic centers in Poland is dependent on a series of conditions. When based on West European countries’ experiences, forms and instruments which support such development become the major factor. There hasn’t yet evolved any firm–public politics model for logistic centers in Poland. Initiatives in this respect should be demonstrated by a public sector of different ranks. The article has been formed on the basis of the author’s own researches conducted in 2008 – 2010 in the region of Lodz. The research enabled the author to identify a number of conclusions which can relate to a variety of regions in the country.
