Journal Title: MANAGERIAL CHALLENGES OF THE CONTEMPORARY SOCIETY - Year 2017, Vol 2, Issue 10

Abstract

Environmental protection is a responsibility we need to assume, not only as individuals, but also as a Union. The deteriorating ecological framework was clearly observed in the last decade. Concern for the environment posed on the European agenda in 1970. The Treaty of Maastricht made environmental protection a priority for the European Union, where it is indicated as a necessity and also developed the Environmental Policy Integration and Implementation Program with versions for sectoral policies such as agriculture, energy, industry, transport. The paper will present Romania’s case on environmental protection and the public policy developed for offering a future to the country and its inhabitants.
