Publication Trends In Fracture Resistance Research Of Endodontically Treated Teeth: A Bibliometric Analysis Of The Last 5 Years
Journal Title: Uluslararası Dis Hekimligi Bilimleri Dergisi - Year 2024, Vol 10, Issue 2
Abstract
Objective: Bibliometric analyses provide detailed evaluation of scientific literature using quantitative measurements. In addition to examining titles such as published articles, journals, authors, citations, it is an important type of analysis that reveals data such as the distribution of articles by year and the scientific activity of countries. The aim of this study is to present a detailed bibliometric analysis of the publication trends of endodontically treated teeth fracture resistance studies published in the field of endodontics in the last 5 years. Materials and Method: A literature review covering studies published on fracture resistance in the field of endodontics between 2019 and 2023 was conducted using the Web of Science online database. After detailed screening, parameters such as title, journal name, first author, country, year, citation, and keywords were recorded for each selected article. Results: After scanning with keywords, duplicates were removed by applying the inclusion criteria and a total of 178 articles were included in the study. It was observed that the most cited article among these articles was an original research article published in 2021 and received 92 citations. It was determined that the year in which the most articles were published was 2021. It was seen that Brazil made the most contributions from the included countries. Conclusion: In this bibliometric analysis, studies on the fracture resistance of endodontically treated teeth in the last 5 years were examined and guiding data was obtained for researchers about the development process of the subject and publication trends.
