Abstract

Deviations from the normal in the structure, shape and alignment of the anterior teeth cause aesthetic problems in patients. Spaces seen in more than one tooth, called polydiastema, can be quite annoying for patients who desire a beautiful and aesthetic smile. Thanks to the developments in adhesive dentistry, these aesthetic problems can be resolved quickly and easily by preserving the natural tooth structure with composite resin restorations. In this case report, the achievement of smile aesthetics by using direct composite resins of a patient who applied to Ondokuz Mayıs University, Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Restorative Dentistry with the complaint of aesthetic appearance disorder in his front teeth is explained. The patient's diastemas were closed with composite restorations applied to 4 of his teeth, creating an aesthetic appearance.
