Journal Title: Здоров`я дитини - Year 2013, Vol 6, Issue 49
Abstract
The article describes the case report of a patient with stage IV neuroblastoma of posterior mediastinum and retroperitoneum, who was admitted to hospital with the erroneous diagnosis of «community-acquired pleuropneumonia». Thanks to modern methods of research in the form of transabdominal scanning, multi-section computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging we were able to establish the diagnosis of neuroblastoma in the short term and to refer the child to a specialist cancer hospital.
