Quelques notes sur la vie et la bibliothèque de Nicolae Ion Lahovary

Abstract
Nicolae Ion Lahovary a eu une carrière militaire, puis bureaucratique et finalement politique. Sa présence publique a été „discrète”, du moins si on la compare avec le rôle important de son fils aîné, l’un des chefs du „mouvement conservateur” roumain. Mais les considérations généalogiques n’ont pas pu être séparées de son profil intellectuel. Un inventaire de la bibliothèque du politicien, trouvé dans l’archive de son fils, a apporté des informations significatives sur les préoccupations littéraires, historiques et politiques de Lahovary. L’importance des dates contenues par le document est donnée par leur pertinence en ce qui concerne les origines du conservatisme roumain, mais aussi l’histoire des préférences de lecture de „l’aristocratie” locale au XIXème siècle.
