Radioembolization: Angiographic Techniques, Difficult Cases
Journal Title: Nükleer Tıp Seminerleri - Year 2019, Vol 5, Issue 2
Abstract
Radioembolization (RE) is an established and effective transarterial catheter-based technique that is increasingly being used in the management of primary and secondary liver malignancies. The success of RE depends on patient selection and pre-treatment planning. Meticulous planning angiography is required for prescribed optimal radiation dose in the targeted area with minimal adverse effects. In this article, recommended angiographic technique details and the solutions for the most encountered problems in the RE planning patients have been described.
