Radioembolization: Personalized Treatment and Protection from Side Effects
Journal Title: Nükleer Tıp Seminerleri - Year 2019, Vol 5, Issue 2
Abstract
Y-90 microsphere therapy fits very well to the principal of medical practice “primum non nocere”. Owing to its unique theoritical basis, Y-90 microsphere treatment may show a much higher therapeutic efficacy along with much lower probability of side effects and complications in comparison to other equivalent therapies. Another major advantage of Y-90 microsphere therapy is that it can enable personalized therapeutic approach. The main objective of the personalized therapeutic approach is to increase the therapeutic efficacy to its maximum while keeping the probability of side effects and complications at minimum.
