RANKING OF UNIVERSITIES IN ROMANIA AND THE EMERGING DISORIENTATION

Abstract
The paper analyses the place held by Valahia University of Targoviste (UVT) in the university top rank in Romania between 2002-2011, its rank in accordance with the new Law of Education, its position in the WEB internati onal placement rank as well as some discrepancies related to all these. The paper also discusses the development of disciplines in the domain of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry within UVT, related ISI publications and connected issues.
