Rare anatomical variation of the cystic artery giving off 3 branches to the gallbladder
Journal Title: International Journal of Anatomical Variations - Year 2018, Vol 11, Issue 2
Abstract
A routine cadaveric dissection demonstrated the cystic artery giving off 3 branches to the gallbladder (also known as Calot’s arteries). The arteries of Calot branched out as the cystic artery traverses along the cystic duct. A thorough literature review could not identify any studies that demonstrated the incidence of this event.

A rare bilateral variant branching pattern of the axillary artery
Arterial injuries in upper extremities can occur in athletes performing forceful, repetitive, high velocity arm movements or during cannulation. Variations in the course and branching pattern of axillary artery would alw...
Hippocampal volumetric variations in the normal human brain by magnetic resonance imaging (MRI)
The morphology and size of the human brain and its major anatomically defined subdivisions are very important for understanding neurological diseases and also for neurosurgery. The diagnosis of Alzheimer disease (AD) and...
Simultaneous iliacus and psoas muscle variations
Dissection of a 98-year-old female cadaver identified three previously unrecorded simultaneous variations in the iliac region. A variant iliacus muscle originated in the iliac fossa and then split at the insertion point...
Anatomic variation and introperative disposal of right hepatic artery in pancreaticoduodenectomy
Anatomic variation of right hepatic artery (RHA) is not rare in clinical. we retrospective reviewed the clinical data of 179 patients underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD) between January 2012 and June 2017 in Departmen...
Prehilar renal artery division with supernumerary renal veins: a case series
OBJECTIVES: To know the variations of renal vessels in human cadavers. METHODS: The study was performed on 3 cadaveric cases. The posterior abdominal wall was dissected to study the paired kidneys. RESULTS: The following...
