РАЗВИТИЕ ЭКОЛОГИЧЕСКОГО ТУРИЗМА В ВОСТОЧНОМ КАЗАХСТАНЕ

Abstract
The article describes the significance of ecological tourism for the development of the tourist industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In modern realities, tourism is one of the highly profitable and dynamically developing sectors of the world economy. The Republic of Kazakhstan possesses high natural and climatic, historical, cultural potential and opportunities for qualitative development of the tourist industry and increase its contribution to the national economy. In May 2014, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan approved the Concept for the Development of the Tourism Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan until 2020. The adoption of this Concept emphasizes the importance of tourism and serves as a responsible step towards the use of the available potential, as well as its further growth. According to the Concept, in Kazakhstan it is planned to create and develop five tourist clusters: Astana, Almaty, East Kazakhstan, South Kazakhstan and Western Kazakhstan. East Kazakhstan is defined as a center for the development of ecological tourism.
