Abstract
The article outlines the methodical guidance of studying Ukrainian as a foreign language in the socio-cultural aspect. A particular attention has been paid to the use of phraseological units, the words-symbols, the texts, which help to learn more about the Ukrainian national character, the nature of the Ukrainian soul.
