Abstract
Autorka recenzuje książkę Małgorzaty Rutkowskiej i dochodzi do wniosku, że monografia "Psy, koty i ludzie. Zwierzęta domowe w literaturze amerykańskiej" doskonale ilustruje możliwości rozwoju studiów nad zwierzętami, gdzie analiza źródeł kulturowych (literackich) uzupełniona jest wiedzą etologiczną. W takim podejściu „zwierzę” usytuowane jest na przecięciu natury i kultury.
