Abstract
„Wpływ nowych mediów na przemiany polityczne wybranych państw Bliskiego Wschodu na przykładzie Arabskiej Wiosny”, to pozycja książkowa, w której Autorka podjęła się próby odpowiedzi na pytanie: w jaki sposób nowe media wpłynęły na prze-miany polityczne w państwach Bliskiego Wschodu, zwłaszcza w Tunezji i Egipcie podczas tzw. Arabskiej Wiosny. W pierwszej kolejności Autorka przedstawia specyfikę arabskich systemów medialnych, istotę Arabskiej Wiosny, aby następnie przybliżyć znaczenie, rolę oraz konkretne przykłady wykorzystywani nowych mediów przed, w trakcie oraz po wydarzeniach Arabskiej Wiosny. Recenzowany tytuł przypisuje nowym mediom pełnienie roli areny, na której dokonała się mobilizacja arabskiego społeczeń-stwa, które swym zasięgiem oraz siłą zaskoczyło arabskie reżimy. „The influence of new media on the political changes of selected Middle Eastern countries on the example of the Arab Spring” is a book item in which the author undertakes an attempt to answer the question of how the new media influenced political change in the Middle East, especially in Tunisia and Egypt, the so-called Arab Spring. In the first place, the author presents the specifics of Arab media systems, the essence of the Arab Spring, to further explain the importance, role and specific examples used by new media before, during, and after the events of the Arab Spring. The reviewed title attributed the new media to the role of the arena in which the mobilization of Arab society has taken place, which has surprised and strengthened the Arab regimes.
