REFORMATION OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE TERRITORIAL DIVISION IN UKRAINE IN CONDITIONS OF EUROPEAN INTEGRATION

Abstract

Purpose. To analyze the administrative and territorial structure due to the results of administrative and territorial reform, to find gaps and to identify key prospects in order to achieve the success of this reform. Methodology of research. Methodological basis of research consists of the general scientific methods. The work was done with the use of such methods as comparison method, method of analysis and synthesis, statistical method and sociological method. We used the course mapping method, comparative geographical method, and computer methods of data processing and visualization of research results with the help of Microsoft Office programme. Findings. It was established that the reforming of the administrative system will improve the system of governance of the territories by streamlining the relations between the authorities of various hierarchical levels and improving local governance. It is determined that the implemented reforms will improve the standard of living of people in all inhabited city and rural areas of Ukraine. It is substantiated that economic-geographical, socio-political, socio-geographical factors will be extremely important in the process of reforming the administrative and territorial system. Originality. Theoretical and methodological basis of socio-scientific research of the process of reforming the administrative and territorial system is profound; socially important factors and preconditions that influence the administrative and territorial system are identified and they need to be taken into account when reforming this system. Practical value. The results of this research theme can be used for various seminars meetings by those who have an interest in the reforming of administrative and territorial structure. The theoretical conclusions and results, methodological approaches can be used by managers, government officials, members of councils for better functioning of local government and in order to improve the administrative and territorial structure of Ukraine. It can be used in further studies of the relevant issues.
