Journal Title: World Science - Year 2017, Vol 2, Issue 12
Abstract
The article is devoted to the urgent issue of reforming the pension system of Ukraine. A retrospective approach has made it possible to identify main stages of the reform, to characterize them in general, to follow consistent changes in the legislation concerning pension insurance in the context of European integration transformations. The current state of the pension system is analyzed based on such indicators as ratio of the number of pensioners to the working population, dynamics of pension payments by their types, deficit of the Pension Fund of Ukraine, and the size of subsidies from the state budget of Ukraine. Some forecasts concerning these indicators are made. Basic problems of the current pension system of the country are formulated. Based on the analysis, main preconditions for the new stage of reforming the pension system of Ukraine are identified, and the necessity of introducing a three-level pension system based on the experience of European countries is substantiated.
