REGIONAL DISPARITIES IN PREŠOV REGION ACCORDING TO THE STRUCTURE OF INDUSTRY

Abstract
The article discusses regional disparities in Prešov Region in terms of the industrial production development, structure and tendency. The industrial structure evaluation was based on several indicators, such as gross output, intermediate consumption, value added, average number of employees, average monthly wage and labour productivity per employee, at the level of the County as a whole to recognize its importance within the regional structure of industry in Slovakia, as well as at the level of districts in terms of displaying the internal differentiation of the County and indicating developing regional disparities. In the conclusion, attention is drawn to the prospects of the Prešov County industrial development based on available industrial sites
