Relationship between Attachment to God and Trust with Psychological Vulnerability of Students with Mediating on Patience

Abstract

The current research studies the relationship between attachment to God and trust with psychological vulnerability of students mediating focusing on patience. This research is a correlation one in which 192 Bachelor students from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences were chosen as cluster random sampling who completed the SCL90 questionnaire, short version of questionnaire on attachment to God (M-SAS) and questionnaire on measuring patience and questionnaire on finding solutions in life events and accidents (QADHS). The data analysis was done by path analysis via Amos software. The results showed that the variables of current research have significant correlations with each other pair wise. The trust focusing on patience has significant negative effect on psychological vulnerability. As the grades on trust to God increases, the patience can predict reducing the psychological vulnerability. These findings verify the indirect effect of trust on psychological vulnerability and also verify the role of patience in the relationships between trust to God and psychological vulnerability. According to the results, attachment with focusing on patience has indirect significant negative effect on psychological vulnerability. As the grades on attachment increases, the patience can predict the reduction of grades on psychological vulnerability. The role of patience is verified in the relationships between attachment to God and psychological vulnerability.
