Design: A descriptive correlational design was utilized in the present study. Settings: the study was conducted at two settings; inpatient psychiatric department of Tanta university) and Neurology, Psychiatry, and Neuro-surgery center. Both hospitals are under the supervision and direction of the ministry of higher education. Subjects: a convenient sample of 120 patients with schizophrenia. Tools: three tools were used to collect data for this study; Refined insight scale, Internalized Stigma of Mental Illness Inventory (ISMI), and Dispositional Hope Scale. Results: there was a statistical significant positive correlation between insight and hope, while a negative correlation between stigma and hope was found among patients with schizophrenia. Moreover, stigma didn’t interact with insight to affect hope among patients with schizophrenia.
