Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate and determination the factors of Child labour in District Nowshera Pakistan. The area was highly affected by floods in 2010 and war-in-terror since 2006-07. A sample of 200 household heads was purposively interviewed from three villages of Nowshera district which confirmed the fact. Chi-square technique is used to examine the association between poverty and other demographic variables, which creates poverty gap and logistic regression was used to find the relationship between child labour and poverty. The main finding originated from the study is that child labour is the manifestation of poverty and therefore tackling poverty will have a positive impact on child labour. For tackling poverty governamnet should place strong emphsis on human capital investment.Common awareness and morals about the causes of extreme deprivation can play a role in convincing political society to support policy interventions that help out the poor . Welfare-enhancing policy which focusing on the poorest is an additional element of income transmitted to the worst-off would generate a better assistance than the same additional unit of income transferred to be better-off. Social assistance programmed is making significant contribution to tackle poverty and facilitating human capital investment.
