Relationship Between Prayer and Ethical Maturity

Abstract
The target population of our study which aims to examine the relationship between praying which is one of the fundamental forms of worshipping in Islam and ethical maturity consisted of people between the ages of 15 to 56 and above. The sample group of the study consists of 319 female and males selected from among the target population via random sampling method. The study was carried out via sample scanning method and survey method in which “personal information form” and “ethical maturity scale” were used as data acquisition forms. SSPS 18.0 statistical package software was used for the analysis and evaluation of the acquired data after which correlation, multi-linear regression and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) analysis methods were used to determine the relationships between the variables. It was observed at the end of the study that the basic independent variables (predictive variables) which are obligatory (fard) prayers and optional (nafl) prayers prayer and futile prayer predict ethical maturity in a statistically significant manner.
