REPRODUCTION OF THE PARTICULARITIES OF THE CHARACTERS’ SPEECH FROM JACK LONDON’S SHORT STORIES BY IRYNA STESHENKO AND LES HERASYMCHUK

Abstract
The article suggests the analysis of the peculiarities of the characters’ speech from Jack London’s short stories, namely “The Faith of Men”, “To the Men on Trail”, “Which Make Men to remember”, “The Great Interrogation” as rendered into Ukrainian by Iryna Steshenko. Particularly the problems of the reproduction of grammar, linguistic insertions, and phonetic markers are researched. The method of dictionary definitions and the linguostylistic and translation studies analyses were used in the course of research.
