RESEARCH COMPETENCIES IN PHYSICS OF SECONDARY SCHOOL PUPILS: STRUCTURE, LEVELS AND CRITERIA OF FORMATION

Abstract

The article deals with the system of research competences in physics of secondary school pupils. Structural components of the system (cognitive, praxeological, axiological, social and behavioural) had been grounded. Infl uence of each component of the system on its level of development had been defi ned by expert evaluation. Research competencies had been grouped according to the main stages of research (preparation, activity, generalization). Assessment criteria for each of the levels of these research competencies had been defi ned and 15 matrices of competencies had been constructed. On the basis of the evaluation methods of forming research competences in physics of secondary school pupils input assessment of the level of formation of research competencies for the control and experimental groups of pupils had been held. Further processing of the its’ results by advisable statistical methods had been carried out. The conclusions had been drawn and areas for further research had been identifi ed.
