RESEARCH ON S ELECTION OF TECHNOLOGICAL LUBRICANTS FOR FORMING ALUMINIUM AND TITANIUM SHEETS

Abstract
In the paper, tribological problems occurring during forming aluminium and titanium sheets are presented. Special attention is paid to the creation of aluminium or titanium build-ups on the working surfaces of the tools. The test results of technological lubricant selection for sheet metal forming which aim to decrease this phenomenon are discussed. Considering the detrimental effect of current technological lubricants on the environment, the tests were performed with lubricants based on vegetable oils.
